Representation at The SU
Falmouth & Exeter Students' Union is a democracy. This means that you (as students) elect the people who represent you and lead the SU.
Our democracy is powered by a network of Sabbatical Officers (often referred to as SU Presidents), collectives, academic reps and campaigns, all of which stand up for your student experience. Whether its about your course, housing, the cost of living or your health and wellbeing, we make sure that your voice is represented.
In this section you can find out about what reps are, who your presidents are and how you can get involved!
How am I represented?
From your Presidents to Academic Reps, there are several ways that we ensure that the student voice is represented across the Union, Universities, FX Plus and on a national level.

SU Presidents, (sometimes refered to as Sabbatical Officers or Sabbs) are students who have recently graduated or taken a year out of their studies to represent you, as students.
Your elected SU Presidents are here to listen to you and speak on your behalf to the University and other institutional bodies. They work hard to represent all students and ensure your voice is heard.
Your elected representatives’ core role is to represent your voice by gathering your feedback and ensuring it’s heard, valued and acted upon.
Your reps work with Falmouth University and the University of Exeter to improve your university experience.
Student Forum is a new, engaging, open way of doing student democracy, and will replace a more traditionnal Student Council approach.
It is an open meeting, overseen by two Co-Chairs, for students to come together and take part in collective decision-making through debate and discussion.
There are so many ways that you can get involved with Student Voice! Whether you want to stand for a Presidents role in our elections, represent your coursemates or vote on proposals, there is something for everyone.
