Your SU Liberation Committee is headed up by the SU President Welfare & Inclusivity and the Liberation Chair. The International Officer, Community Officer, and Widening Participation Officer are also part of the Committee, along with the following self-defined Officer roles:

What does self-defined mean?
To nominate yourself for one of these five roles, the process requires candidates to self-define as belonging to that group. Self-definition means ‘the definition of one’s identity, character, abilities and attitudes by oneself’. So by nominating yourself as Disabled Students Officer, for example, you self-define yourself as having a disability.

The Green Committee is headed up by the SU President Student Experience and is made up of the Environmental & Ethics Officer, Waste and Recycling Officer, Biodiversity and Estates Officer, Energy and Water Officer, Green Travel Officer and Food Officer. Now that both universities have declared a climate emergency, it's more important than ever that our student representation for sustainability works together to make change happen.
