Cultural Festival

From 3-7 March 2025, The SU, the University of Exeter, Falmouth Universiity and FX Plus are collaborating to bring you a week of events celebrating the diversity of cultures on our campuses. There will be lots of activities you can get involved with including exhibits, a cultural societies fair, film screenings, a football tournament and St Piran's activities. Explore Cornwall - Geevor Mine Day Trip: 2nd March 10am - 5pm; Geevor Mine, Pendeen, Penzance, TR19 7EW; Step back in time and explore Cornwall's rich mining heritage at Geevor Mine; Explore Cornwall | culturalfestival

Cornish Language Exhibit: 3rd March 9am - 7th March 5pm; Penryn Campus Library; The Library and Archives team will have a St Piran’s Day Exhibition on Cornish Language and Dialect in the Penryn Campus Library from Monday 3 March onwards.; culturalfestival

Multi Story Exhibit Event: 4th March 6pm - 8pm; ESI Cafe, Penryn Campus; To celebrate the Multi Story exhibit coming to campus we will be holding an event as part of the Wildworks 'Hello Stranger' project, whose brainchild was the installation of illuminated box portrait dioramas.; culturalfestival

St Piran's Day Celebration in Truro: 5th March noon - 5pm; Knowledge Spa Atrium, Truro; Join us to celebrate Cornish Heritage on St Piran’s Day with hot drinks and Cornish cake. We love to hear your stories on what brought you to Cornwall and how you stay connected to your culture and heritage.; culturalfestival

Social Football World Cup: 5th March 1pm - 6pm; Penryn Campus MUGA; Celebrate diversity through football by taking part in the Social Football World Cup. This 8-team 6-a-side tournament is open to all students and staff and all backgrounds and abilities are encouraged to register.; culturalfestival

Cultural Festival Intercultural Cafe: 5th March 3pm - 4:30pm; Fox Cafe, Falmouth Campus; Come along for a special art-themed edition of the intercultural café. Early Easter Egg Hunt: 6th March 4pm - 6pm; Walled Garden, Penryn Campus; Take part in a traditional Easter Egg hunt - a treasure hunt where you look for hidden Easter eggs!
