Bosavern Community Farm, located at St Just-in-Penwith in West Cornwall, provide a vegetable box of local produce in a community based initiative. The not-for-profit boxes are grown on the farm and picked within 24 hours of going into your box!

The produce is sustainable, grown without artificial fertilisers and pesticides and are grown to meet Wholesome Food Association principles. The contents of the boxes vary each week, so you will not get exactly the same veg two weeks running, however, it is always seasonal produce! Due to poly-tunnel salad beds, salad can be provided most of the year round. A newsletter is included in each box, saying what is in it and also some tips on how to use the less common veg which some people might not have used before!

A small vegetable box has enough veg to feed one person for a week. An example box contains:

  • 1kg beetroot
  • 1/2kg carrots
  • 200g kale
  • 1/2kg leeks
  • 1kg potatoes
  • 1/2kg black winter radish
  • 1/2kg swede

Boxes will be delivered to The Compass. Please note numbers are capped so orders must be placed before 3pm on Monday and you MUST be available to collect your box between 3pm and 5pm on  FRIDAY afternoon. If you are unavailable to collect a box at this time, please do not order for that week.

PLEASE NOTE: We are currently in the ‘hungry gap’ where some produce has limited availability. Therefore some produce will for a short time be supplied from other local businesses in the Penzance area and full details will be provided within each box.
