"Hello everyone coming from far and wide to join us at Falmouth! As an international student from the United States, I couldn't have been more grateful to fall in love with Falmouth as my new home-away-from home. Now you’ll find me working on Falmouth campus with the student ambassador scheme, helping to ensure that the new students joining us every year are ones who will feel the same way about it that I do, and it will enrich their time here to the fullest. 
I chose to become a student rep because of how strongly I came to treasure the community it cultivated- I wanted to play a role in its expansion and upkeep. Additionally, when I was first researching Falmouth before submitting my application, as an international student I didn’t have access to many of the in-person resources that the ambassador scheme provides- open days and campus tours and the like. Being an ambassador, a digital ambassador specifically, gave me a platform to help reach other potential international students like myself who reach out hoping to find a substitute for those opportunities. Through this role I can share my own experiences with them, supporting their own journey to university. 

      I, of course, also love any opportunity I get to chat with students who’ll be joining me on the Creative Writing (BA) course! I firmly believe this course has a sweet spot for every aspiring writer that will transform their favorite aspect of creative writing into something tangible that they can hold and carry forth with them. For me, it was my fiction module in second year that shifted my perspective so completely in the most important way- I went into the module wanting to learn about the ways other people approach writing short stories and how to leech off those approaches, and left understanding how to wield my own fiction as a tool and an asset, and how to continually improve it. This module taught me to be excited about peer review and how to understand my own strengths and weaknesses in short story writing- and all of this renewed my excitement about becoming a professional writer in the future! 

      I look forward to meeting more creative writers and ambassadors in my third year, and Falmouth expanding its wonderful community!"
