This year, the theme for Mental Health Awareness Week was ‘loneliness’. Your SU focused on what signposting is available for services that could help if you are feeling lonely, aiming to improve awareness of all the people and places available to support your mental health.
The SU organised three pop up stalls for the week, bringing together student services and the SU advice service to connect with students over snacks and hot drinks.
Thank you to everyone who visited at Penryn Campus, Falmouth Campus and the MedSoc art exhibition. You shared a number of insightful points and it was a joy to chat with you about mental health and university life.
At the stalls, you could also pick up informative postcards that shared the services available across our campuses. Each one was themed according to what you might be looking for. You can find digital copies of these postcards below.
Where can I find...
A listening ear?
Mental Health support?
Help with university life?
Human connection?
Well done to Eco Soc and Pole Fitness Society for organising and leading events as part of the week. Thank you for your efforts and enthusiasm for getting involved.
If you have any thoughts about Mental Health Awareness Week, would like to create your own campaign or want to get involved in any upcoming campaigns, please email the SU team or speak to your part-time officers or course reps.
