On Saturday 8 March, our Hip-Hop Society competed in the Go Hard or Go Home: University Dance Championsiops 2025.
Held at The Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham, this renowned competition has been running since 2011 and provides dancers with a platform to work together, demonstrate their skills, and compete against peers.
This was the Hip-Hop Society's first competition and, after fantastic performances, the team took home an amazing second place victory!
"We’re beyond proud to say we placed SECOND in our first-ever competition! The energy, teamwork, and dedication we brought to the stage truly paid off, making it an unforgettable experience.
A huge shoutout to our choreographers, Katie Chamberlain, Lucy Mclaurin, Noorem Aleem, and Jo Claro Pires whose incredible routines pushed us to new heights. Their creativity and hard work gave us the confidence to deliver performances we’ll never forget.
Not only did this competition bring us closer as a team, but it also helped us grow as dancers. We left feeling stronger, prouder, and more inspired than ever. A special well done to our Tap and Jazz teams, who were just as amazing and showcased incredible talent.
This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait for what’s next. Hard work and passion lead to success, and we’re only getting started!"
A big well done to everyone who took part!
