Meet your Subject Chair: Francesca Perry-Poletti
“Welcome to the Cornwall Campus from the SSLC (Student Staff Liaison Committee)! As the subject chair for Cornwall, it is my utmost pleasure to introduce myself and share with you the important role I play in supporting our community. My name is Francesca, and I am in my fourth year of medicine, and the second studying in Cornwall. I am deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and thriving academic environment for all students within the medicine program and strive to ensure that your educational experience is both enriching and rewarding.
Having worked closely with faculty and students alike, I actively engage in representing your interests, addressing concerns, and facilitating open communication between all involved. It is my belief that a collaborative approach is key to creating positive change and achieving academic excellence. I am here to listen to your feedback, address any challenges you may face, and actively seek solutions that enhance your learning journey.
Outside of my responsibilities as the subject chair, you’ll find me exploring all the beautiful beaches down here, and participating in all sorts of activities through the Student Union and university. Music has been a lifelong passion, and you may find me playing the violin or viola. Additionally, my love for sports has led me to participate in rugby through the Penryn Ladies team. Lastly, as a firm believer in the power of humour and entertainment, I have actively contributed to our hospital's annual pantomime, embracing the joy of bringing laughter and delight to patients and staff alike.
I look forward to working with each and every one of you, advocating for your needs, and ensuring that your voice is heard within the SSLC. Together, we can create a supportive and thriving community that empowers each student to reach their full potential. Feel free to approach me with any ideas, suggestions, or concerns you may have. Let's embark on this academic journey together and make a lasting impact!”
