How do I log my volunteering hours?

Follow this link and click on one of the six ‘types of volunteering’ https://www.fxu.org.uk/legends/log/

Then ‘add’ a role by clicking the blue button in the left hand corner of the page.

To ‘add hours’ click on your created role (blue bar) and ‘add hours’ or ‘add skill’.

 

What do the different ‘types of volunteering' mean?

Community Role: If you volunteer for a community organisation, charity or setting that is not a University activity – register your hours here.

Fundraising Role: If you have been fundraising for charity, your course or a cause- register your hours here.

Mentoring Role: If you are a ‘Student Mentor’ overseen by the University- register your hours here.

Representation: If you volunteer as a Department Chair, Course Rep, Student Leadership Team, or one of the three FXU sub-committee Sports, Society or Green- register your hours here.

Student Roles: If you volunteer as a Sports Club, Society, Student-Led Volunteer Project committee member or do any other type of volunteering within the University or Students’ Union, please register your hours here.

 

Where do I register ‘Training’?

Logging training courses and opportunities is done via the ‘Training’ button which can be found on the same page as ‘log hours’ page here: https://www.fxu.org.uk/legends/log/

 

Do my hours accrue over my University career (year on year)?

Unfortunately not. It is something we are exploring to do, but at the moment the system works to renew and start fresh each academic year.

 

What incentives are offered with each award?

For each award, you have access to a downloadable certificate on your profile and additional rewards.
