About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to run our Student Opportunities Team, focusing on supporting our student-led groups, volunteering and fundraising, and working with our various stakeholders to support high quality student experience. As an organisation we are going through an incredible journey, and this is an incredible opportunity to join us at a key stage of our development.
You will take a lead role in organising key projects and campaigns, ensuring work is prioritise in line with organisational priorities, and will be the lead contact student activities.
You will be employed directly by The SU. We are a membership-led charity; run by students, for students. We represent students from two different universities: Falmouth University and the University of Exeter.
- Falmouth University has a history of more than 100 years of creative thinking and design innovation. Established in 1902 as Falmouth School of Art, they have grown to become a digital innovation hub, delivering impact for lives and economies through the development of new knowledge, solutions, services and products.
- The University of Exeter is a member of the prestigious Russell Group of research-intensive universities and in the top 150 universities in the world. They combine world-class teaching with world-class research, achieving a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework Award 2017.
The ideal candidate for this role would be experienced in supporting volunteers, working across multiple projects and able to manage all aspects across the varied Student Opportunities team. You will need to be confident engaging multiple stakeholders including students, staff, Trustees, Falmouth University and the University of Exeter, external stakeholders, and the local community. You will also need to be able to consider best practice and innovation with regards to student opportunities, volunteering and fundraising.
