About the event

Get involved in and come along to this year’s “Fal Surf Classic of surfing.” A fun and iconic Saturday surf comp, for everyone at Falmouth and Exeter Penryn University (open to non-Fal surf members as well). With an expected 40 competitors we want as many people to get involved, even if you’ve never competed before. Have a laugh, put on a jersey, have some beers in the sun, and watch the best surfing Falmouth has to offer go down in the finals.

Tickets are £30, which includes contest entry and accommodation for Saturday night at Town Lodge hostel Newquay. We have booked the whole hostel, so should be a proper laugh. Contest Only tickets and Spectator Accommodation tickets are currently not available, to try and encourage everyone to compete, though we will check numbers nearer the event and potentially adjust. This is not Varsity or BUCS, and although the standard will be high, we want as many people in the water as possible.

Tickets are £35 for non-members

We have professional judges, beach marshals, contest director, etc

Exact timings will be released nearer the time, though looking likely heats to start at around 9:30am and carry on until 4:00pm ish. We will present the winners, and then hit Newquay town as one of our last big socials of the year. Loughborough Uni will also be in Newquay that evening, so may try and do a social collab with them.
