About the event

Dear Fellow Expeditioners,

This will be a 1 night, 14 mile (7 miles each day) expedition to Dartmoor, our neighbour counties wild and wonderful moorland!

We'll be walking from Princetown (so an early start is needed on that day to get there at a reasonable time) to Brown Heath where we will set up camp for the night. Then the next day we will walk to Ivybridge and get the train back home to Falmouth.

There are a few things you need to be able to do this trip:

Tent (we have a 3 man and a 1 man that can be borrowed if needs be)
65-70L rucksack
Sleeping bag (bring something extra as well if you think you'll be cold)
Sleeping mat
Walking boots
First aid kit
Torch
Walking poles if you need them
Weather appropriate clothing (NOT TEE-SHIRT AND SHORTS)
A dry pair of clothes to sleep in, layers, maybe a change of underwear and socks
Camping stove and fuel (we can share meals so don't worry too much about this as we have some as well)
Mug, bowl, spoon, fork, etc.
Water bottle (at least 2L each!)
Toiletries (toothbrush, toilet paper, anything else you may need)
ALL YOUR WATERPROOFS (coat, trousers, raincover for your rucksack! It gets incredibly wet

If you want to do this event, you'll have to be a member so bear that in mind when booking.
