About the event
About our Speaker:
Alana Scott

Alana is a masters ecology and conservation biology student at the University of Exeter, Penryn. She joined Kernow Conservation's committee in April 2021, as she wanted to improve her practical conservation skills. Shortly after, she managed to secure funding to reintroduce the first water voles to southern Cornwall, and then stuck around for the wild ride that was developing Kernow Conservation from a student group to a fully-fledged CIC!
About Kernow Conservation:
We are a community-led conservation group with big ambitions. We work with landowners, businesses, educational institutions, and wildlife experts to facilitate a multitude of conservation projects.
We work on projects with communities across Cornwall, involving habitat restoration and management, species reintroductions, and biodiversity monitoring.
In partnership with landowners, other organisations, and local communities, we work on projects to protect and enhance the natural environment in Cornwall for the benefit of both wildlife and people.
