Falmouth campus, Rosehill reception meeting point.

About the event
For Mental Health Week we’re leading an early morning walk around the beautiful coastlines that we’re fortunate to have right on our doorstep. We’ll be walking past Pendennis and Castle Beach and for whoever is up for it either getting a coffee next to Gylly or in town afterwards depending on the weather. Seeing the sun and being out in nature does wonders for your health and is a great way to start the day, if you’re up for it why not join us?

Route will be accessible but may be a little bit hilly at times as we leave campus, at paths surrounding Pendennis Point and down to the coast. Pacing will be kept comfortable for all who join us. Paths are unlikely to be busy and toilets on the way will be signposted such as near Castle Beach Café. Breaks can be taken when needed and Owen from SU Crew will be able to assist if anyone has a problem or needs further support.
This event is being run by Owen from The SU. Our Meet the Team page includes information about every member of The SU team.
If you need a buddy to support you with arriving at the event, please email The SU on info@thesu.org.uk and we will work out what we can arrange to help. This might be someone meeting you before the event start time or simply talking you through more details of what to expect. We want to help you access our events so let us know what you need.
Where is the event taking place?
The meeting place will be outside the Rosehill Reception for 7:30 which is just at the entrance to Falmouth Campus on Woodlane. For students coming from Penryn, they can either get the U3 to the King Charles School bus stop and follow the road down, or via the U1/U2/U4 into Falmouth get off the bus at the top of Killigrew Street and walk down Albany Road to get to Woodlane. Owen will be at the entrance wearing a pink SU top.

Watch our Falmouth Campus tour to help figure out how to navigate your way to the venue.
What should I expect?
At this event, we will be walking around the coast so expect some slightly hilly terrain and potential for some traffic on roads closer to town. The space should be chilled and quiet due to the time of day.
There will be a member of staff present to support the event and answer your questions. There will be photography and videography at this event that will be used for SU marketing, please speak to the member of staff if you don’t want your photo taken.
This event is only for students of Falmouth University and the University of Exeter Cornwall Campus.
If you need a quiet space to get away or a break, let the SU team know and they will be happy to accommodate for that throughout the walk.
