RSPB Hayle Estuary

Join birdwatching soc and eco soc for a trip to Hayle! Hayle is known for its stunning number of waders and waterfowl during winter. Lately, Hayle has been quite exciting, with pink footed goose and additional seabirds such as common eider and red throated diver in the estuary area as well. In addition to that, 25th Nov has perfect tidal conditions, with low tide being at 8:39 am and high tide being at 2:40 pm, which means we will be able to see most of the birds offered at high tide. Seeing a kingfisher is very likely.
We recommend taking the train at Penryn at 10:28 am and then changing trains at Truro to get to Hayle at 11:26 am. On the way back, we will take the train at 16:03 at Hayle and arrive Penryn at around 17:13pm. Bringing lunch and walking boots/wellies are recommended.
