We are so excited to announce our first ever guest speaker: Exeter’s very own LIZZIE DALY! Since graduating from Penryn Campus Lizzie has been busy working as a presenter and filmmaker with some of the biggest names in the wildlife film industry, including National Geographic and the BBC. Lizzie will be returning for a screening of her latest short film ‘Silent Slaughter: The Shooting of Scotland’s Seals’. Her film addresses the conflict between salmon farms and the associated audio deterrent devices on UK marine life. Following this, Lizzie will be talking about the issues touched on in the film, how we can help, and how film and science communication are crucial for the conservation of marine wildlife. This talk will be followed by a Q&A session. Tickets are only £2.00 for members and £3.00 for non-members. All the money from the ticket sales will be going to MARINElife to support the incredible work they do monitoring and protecting British marine wildlife. Photo credits: Becky Bunce Photography
