About the event

By participating in this workshop, you will:

  • Reflect on whether you could add additional skills onto your CV
  • Identify any additional skills you want to develop as part of your SU role OR in readiness for applying for jobs, and ways to do it
  • Leave with a better idea of the value of the skills you have gained as part of your SU role from the perspective of employers
  • Leave with a list of transferrable skills which will help you in your future job search, which you can keep and build upon in future

This short hour-long workshop will enable students who participate in societies and who take up SU sabbatical and committee roles to enjoy some bespoke focus on the skills gained from participating which will help with your future employability. We will spend some time recognising the transferrable skills you have gained already, plus identify skills you would like to develop further to enable your future aspirations, in your SU role and/or future career.
