About the event

A vibrant walking tour that aims to convince you that this is one of the most unique, exciting towns in the world. We’ll explore Falmouth's streets, quays and alleys, connecting with the colourful characters and dramatic events that occurred here. With a mixture of humour, passion and storytelling, the tour will change how you see this town forever.

The Falmouth Uncovered Tour won Bronze Experience of the Year at the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2023 and Silver Experience of the Year at the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2024.

What is the key accessibility information?

This tour takes place in Falmouth town centre, so may be busy, or have loud noises from nearby traffic. There is a staircase on one part of the tour, between Smithick Hill and Market Street. Accessible toilets are available at the start of the tour in Grove Place Car Park and at the end of the tour at the Prince of Wales Pier. If you have any problems at the event, please talk to Will your tour guide.

This event is being run by Will Hazell from Falmouth Uncovered. There may also be members of the SU team present. Our Meet the Team page includes information about every member of The SU team.

The walk starts at the Killigrew Monument, adjacent to the Grove Place Car Park, in Falmouth Town Centre (TR11 3XP). The walk ends at the Prince of Wales Pier.

What should I expect?

This walk takes place outside in Falmouth town and may be affected by traffic or weather conditions.

There will be a member of staff present to support the event and answer your questions. There will be photography and videography at this event that will be used for SU marketing, please speak to the member of staff if you don’t want your photo taken.

This event is only for students of Falmouth University and the University of Exeter Cornwall Campus.
