About the event
Join us for our latest Neurodviergent & Disabled Collective event - this is your chance to come and meet your fellow mature & postgrad students, grab a drink and have a chat in The SU!
This will be a relaxed event, with an opportunity to share feedback on your student experience as well as telling us what you'd like to see more of! But most importantly, you'll be able to meet other students and have a chat over a cup of tea (or coffee! Other drinks are available 😅)
We'll also be available to talk through how Student Forum works ahead of the next Forum meeting (at 16:00 on the same day) - this a great opportunity to learn what to expect and how it works.
What is the key accessibility information?
This will be a relaxed event held in The SU on Penryn Campus, we're not expecting there to be large crowds but this is an open space for students as well as our staff team so there may be some noise. We have plans in place should it get too busy.
The SU is opposite the Postgraduate (or Masters' Suite) and there are steps into the building but there is also an accesible route adjacent.
There is a disabled toilet within the building and the nearest gender neutral toilets are located in the upper Stannary (this is the building opposite The SU).
If you have a problem during this event, please speak to a member of SU staff.
If you need a quiet space to get away from the event, the nearest space would be the, Multifaith Chaplaincy, Library Retreat Room.
Who is running the event?
This event is being run by Bethan from The SU. Our Meet the Team page includes information about every member of The SU team.
If you need a buddy to support you with arriving at the event, please email The SU on info@thesu.org.uk and we will work out what we can arrange to help. This might be someone meeting you before the event start time or simply talking you through more details of what to expect. We want to help you access our events so let us know what you need.
Where is the event taking place?
The event is taking place at The Students' Union at Penryn Campus. This is in the centre of the campus and is opposite The Stannary.
What should I expect?
At this event, there will be bright lights and there may be people moving around. We have plans in place for if the space becomes too busy.
There will be a member of staff present to support the event and answer your questions. There may be photography and videography at this event that will be used for SU marketing, please speak to the member of staff if you don’t want your photo taken.
This event is only for students of Falmouth University and the University of Exeter Cornwall Campus.
If you need a quiet space to get away from the event, the nearest space would be the Students’ Union, Multifaith Chaplaincy, Library Retreat Room.
