Halloween Wishing Lanterns

About the event

Come along to this event and have a great time creating spooky lanterns. Using paints and decorations you’ll turn an ordinary jar into a monster of your own creation. Inside your monster you’ll seal an LED candle and a hallows’ eve wish. Finishing your lantern, you will string it up to hang as desired.

Key accessibility information?

There may be loud noises at this event as students may chat loudly, and external noises may interfere. The event should not be crowded, as the event is limited to 22 people including staff. There are steps and lift access into and out of the venue and there is a disabled toilet on the floor below the venue. The nearest quiet space to this event is the Library Retreat Room. If you are not sure where this is, please ask a member of the SU team. If a problem happens at this event, all staff will have the safe zone app and students should alert the SU Crew members present (who will be identifiable by their pink tops). SU Crew can help students and seek action as appropriate.

Where is the event taking place?

The event is taking place at Exchange Yellow on Penryn Campus. The event is taking place at EXCH Yellow at Penryn Campus. This is in the centre of the campus and is best accessed by taking the steps up from the train station, walking towards the lodge and continuing straight on to the Exchange entering through the revolving doors and heading two flights of stairs or travelling in the lift.

What should I expect?

At this event, there will be bright lights and lots of people moving around. We have plans in place for if the space becomes too busy.

There will be a member of staff present to support the event and answer your questions. There will be photography and videography at this event that will be used for SU marketing, please speak to the member of staff if you don’t want your photo taken.

This event is only for students of Falmouth University and the University of Exeter Cornwall Campus.
