This is a sociology, cultural anthropology, and social movement history lecture on the diverse Black and African diaspora identities in the Americas, Europe, and their counterparts on the African continent, including multiethnic Black and African identities. Discussion of the complexities and differences between race, place, nation states, and ethnic identities.

Trigger warning for discussion of racism, colonialism, and enslavement. Lecturer is of West African  & European family heritage and lived experience.
