Truro Internal Medicine

Hi all, we are Truro Internal Medicine Soceity! We are your go to for all things medicine. Whether its teaching, portfolio guidance or just a chat about your passions we are here for you.

We as a society want to help fellow medical students with understanding portfolio building and further medical training, as its never covered in any depth by the medical school. It is also our aim to make you more confident in the following core topics earlier on in your medical degree. From our experience we believe that exposure to these skills earlier on helps build confidence for when you need to apply them during clinical years and beyond.

We are planning to set up a teaching program covering the following topics:

CV writing
Applications to further medical training
Portfolio building
ECG interpretation
Xray interpretation
Clinical examinations
Medical emergencies
Clinical skills
